SARFAESI affected families to go on indefinite strike from Feb 2

New Delhi, Feb 19 (UNI) Families, who have lost their houses to financial institutions under the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act 2002, will go on an indefinite strike from February 27.

The families, under the banner of Housing Protection Forum are demanding repeal of the anti-people SARFAESI Act 2002 and immediate end to all acts of coercion, intimidation and use of force and threats against those who have taken bank loans.

Banks are taking over homestead property of loan account holders who fail to repay the loan amount by using the centrally enacted SARFAESI Act, Housing Protection Forum Convenor P T John said.
