Jaipur, Feb 19 (UNI) The Rajasthan Assembly was today adjorned for an hour on the second day of the Budget Session.
The issue of ''violation of the 91st amendment of the constitution'' in recent cabinet expansion and appoinment of Parliamentary Secretaries, disrupted the proceedings of the Question Hour.
As soon as the House assembled at 1100 hrs Deputy Speaker Ram Narain Vishnoi took up the Question Hour but he was intervened by Sanyam Lodha of the Congress who wanted to raise the issue of appointment of Parliamentary Secretaries ''in violation'' of the provisions of 91st Constitutional Amendment .
He was supported by Congress members Brijbhushan, Zuber Khan, C P Joshi and Communist member Amara Ram Dhod.
Meanwhile, several members also tried to raise other issues including compensation to farmers for the cold wave ground frost related crop damages.
The opposition members were countered by government chief Whip Mahavir Prasad, Dr Suresh Chaudhary and Ram Pratap Kasania and some BJP members. This led to uproarious scenes which continued for over 20 minutes and forced the Deputy Speaker to adjourn the House for an hour.
This was the second successive day when the issue marred to proceedings in the Budget Session, which began yesterday. Yesterday, the opposition Congress staged a walkout during Governor Shilendra kumar Singh's inaugural speech.
