Gwalior, Feb 19 (UNI) Defending champions Punjab and Sind Bank, Jalandhar, today beat Air India (AI), Delhi, 14-13 in sudden death to win the 72nd All-India Scindia Gold Cup Hockey Championship at the North Central Railway hockey stadium.

The teams were tied 2-2 at the end of the stipulated 70 minutes.

The tie-breaker ended 5-5. In sudden death, AI's 8th attempt was stopped by the bankmen.

Mayor Vivek Shejwalkar awarded the trophy to the victors.

''Rs 2 lakh were presented to the winners and Rs 1 lakh to the runners-up,'' said Deputy Secretary (Organisation) Satyapal Singh Chouhan.

3 wanted aides of Dadua held in MP

Chitrakoot, Feb 19 (UNI) Police today arrested three wanted associates of slain outlaw Dadua in Satna district of the neighbouring Madhya Pradesh. Acting on a tip-off, cops swooped upon Bhonda, Raju Kol and Bhaskar in Manjhgava area of Satna this evening. The trio were carrying a bounty of Rs 25,000, Rs 20,000, Rs 5,000 respectively on their head, police said. Two rifles and a single barrel gun were recovered from their possession. Supaul, Feb 19 (UNI) Police today arrested six people for possessing huge amount of Uranium from near a bus-stand under Birpur police station in the district and charged with sedition.
