Bhubaneswar, Feb 19: The 5th Edition of Bring Your Own Film Festival (BYOFF) -2008 is all set to kick off on the sandy beaches of Puri from February 21 to 25.
Organised in collaboration with INSCREEN, a Bhubaneswar based film society, the five-day mega event is expected to witness the screening of over 140 films of different genres and durations from over 20 countries.
BYOFF's uniqueness lies in the approach of the organisers--there is no selection, no jury and no awards for the films screened, anyone who has a film can show it here.
Over 100 filmmakers have already sent in their entry submissions for their films, which will be screened in the makeshift tents on the beaches of Puri. About 500 delegates are arriving from all parts of country and abroad to celebrate the occasion.
Apart from the facilities for screening of films, BYOFF makes separate stand for the filmmakers to showcase their products for prospective buyers. The offer is open to the filmmakers who would screen their films or have done so at the previous BYOFFs.
