Jammu, Feb 19 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir TADA and POTA courts today awarded 19 years imprisonment to a Pakistani militant for damaging the government property after entering the Indian teritorry illegally.

According to the allegations, accused Sanaullah illegally entered the Indian teritorry from the Pakistan border with the help of another accused Kehar Lal, resident of Haripur, who died during the trial. They both planted bombs at electric towers and the bombs damaged the Government property.

A case under sections 435 RPC, 3 PSS Act and 14 Foreign Act was registered by the police and after completion of the investigation, challan was presented in the court of law.

However, third Additional Session's Judge Sanjay Gupta after the hearing awarded eight years of rigorous imprisonment under section 3 PSS Act while the accused was also sentenced to undergo six years of imprisonment under section 435 RPC. He will further undergo imprisonment for five years under section 14 of Foreign Act.
