Colour scheme of students' uniform changed from next session in city

Chandigarh, Feb 19 (UNI) The Chandigarh Education department has decided to change the colour scheme of students' uniform from the next session 2008-09 onwards in respect of the students from first to 12th classes of all the Government Model and Non-model schools in Chandigarh.

Union Territory Home and Education Secretary Krishna Mohan said there will be White with Blue Stripes- Shirts with blue Knickers from first to 5th class boys where as White with Blue Stripes Shirts with Blue Tunics for first to 5th class girls.

White with Blue Stripes- Shirts with blue Pants and White with Blue Stripes- Kameej with Blue Salwar will be for 6th to 12th class boys and girls respectively.

Mr Mohan said the school uniform for the students for first to 5th class of all Non-Model Government Schools would be provided by the Education Department as per the Administration's Policy.

Mr Mohan said that the change in the colour scheme has been incorporated after considering the suggestions from parents and teachers.
