Assn demands completion of Govt Medical college

Puducherry,Feb 19: The Puducherry Medical Colleges Students-Parents Association (PMCSPA) today urged the administration to take steps to complete the construction of the government medical college here and commence admissions in the coming academic year itself.

In a statement here, association secretary Gabriyel also urged the administration to come forward to reimburse the tuition fees for all the five years instead of the present four years.

Pondy: Functioning of OPD affected in JIPMER

Puducherry, May 21: Functioning of the out-patients department in the centrally administered JIPMER hospital was affected for about one-and-a-half hours this morning as the medical records department staff resorted to a strike. Accoridng to JIPMER sources, the registration of out-patients at the hospital was from 0800 hrs to 1030 hrs. The management on Saturday last asked the medical record staffs to begin the registration from 0730 hrs today. The staff contended that a decision.....
