Rupee opens firm at 39.645/655 per USD

Mumbai, Feb 18: The Rupee gained about three paise against US Dollar to open at 39.645/655 per dollar from its previous close of 39.67/68 per dollar on fresh inflows in the equity market. The local unit gained on firm note in early trade and was trading with a difference of four to five paise against the greenback, dealers said.

Mumbai, June 18: Rupee opened stronger at 40.75/76 per dollar drawing support from adequate capital inflows. It has gained nearly 10 paise as compared to the previous close at 40.85 against USD. However, concerns over the central bank intervention is palpable in the forex market which may block the rupee rally unless ample inflows continue, said a dealer with a public sector bank. Rupee touched an intra day a low of 40.80 by 12.15.....

Mumbai, Dec 3: Precious metals edged up in the opening session today with Silver rising by Rs 20 per kg and Gold by Rs 30 per ten gm due to better buying support, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said. Reports from Tokyo market said, Gold rose today, paring losses in the previous session when it touched a 10-day low on fund profit-taking for the month and year-end, but fundamentals stayed weak giving an improving outlook in the Dollar.
