North Zone to meet South Zone Vizzy Trophy finals

Amritsar, Feb 18 (UNI) North Zone would meet South Zone for the title in the finals of Vizzy Trophy to be played on February 20 at the local Gandhi Grounds.

In the first semi-final played at Gandhi Grounds, North Zone won the match by an inning and 189 runs. East Zone in their second inning was all out for 213 runs in 70.4 overs. Amit Kumar on behalf of East Zone hit 45 in 70 balls with 5 fours while Jony Singh scored 42 in 79 balls with the help of 6 fours. Abheyranjan hit 38 in 49 balls with 6 fours and one sixer.

Gautam Gambhir grabbed 4 wickets for 66, Arun Kanojia got 3 wickets for 37 runs and Rahul Sharma took 3 wickets for 81 runs.

The second semi-final was won by South Zone. They defeated the West Zone on the basis of their first innings lead. M. Parbhu hit 51 runs from 119 balls with the help of 4 fours while Gopi Nath scored 31 runs in 25 balls with 7 fours. Sanjay Bharti got 3 wickets for 72 runs, Dinar Gaokar took 2 wickets for 100 runs and Vishal Vasoa got 2 wickets for 84 runs.

Reliance Power to decide on bonus shares on Feb 24 (lead:Reliance power)

Voting ends in Pakistan, 10 dead in poll violence

Islamabad, Feb 18 : Voting for general elections has ended across the Pakistan at 5 p.m. on Monday. Reportedly, 10 persons were killed and several injured in polls related violence across the country.
