Jamshepdur, Feb 18 (UNI) The inaugural JRD Tata Youth (Under-19) Invitational Prize Money Football Tournament will be held from February 22 to March three.
Tata Steel sports chief Sanjeeva Singh told newspersons here today that the tournament, a part of Tata Steel's centenary celebrations, would be played on league-cum-knock out basis and 12 teams from various soccer academies and clubs would participate.
He said the winner will get Rs one lakh and the runners-up Rs 75,000.
Two semi finalists would also receive cash award of Rs 50,000 each and three awards of Rs 5,000 would be given to the best goalkeeper, highest scorer and Man of the Tournament while fair play trophy of Rs 10,000 would be provided to the best disciplined team, Mr Singh said.
