Kochi, Feb 18 (UNI) Public sector, Fertilisers And Chemicals Travancore (FACT) will establish a training academy to impart skill development training, company CMD George Sleeba said today.
Launching a one-year diploma course on fire and safety as part of FACT's diversification into new pastures, Dr Sleeba said the company would soon start courses in heavy equipment operation, hightech welding, plant operation and other skills.
Certificates would be issued in the name of the soon to be established FACT Academy, he said.
General Manager(HR), K Mathevan Pillai had presented a brief profile of the 'Fire and Safety' course.
Students of the first batch alongwith their parents had attended the inaugural function, a FACT release said here.
