New Delhi, Feb 18 (UNI) The BJP today asked the Election Commission to take cognisance of the statement of Union Law Minister H R Bhardwaj promising the setting up of a High Court in Shillong for North East, at a time when three states were going to the polls.
BJP spokesman Rajiv Pratap Rudy said that the EC should take note of the statement at a time when Meghalaya, Nagaland and Tripura were facing election and ''the North-Eastern states cannot be allowed to be treated shabbily.''
