Bhojpuri actor Manoj Tiwari flays Raj Thackeray

Varanasi, Feb 18: In a scathing attack on Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) Chief Raj Tackeray, whose anti-North Indian remarks created mayhem across Maharashtra recently, renowned Bhojpuri actor Manoj Tiwari said it was not easy to remove North-Indians from the state.

The migrants of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar in Maharashtra should stop worrying, as Mr Thackeray cannot harm them, Mr Tiwari said talking to media here last evening. In Maharashtra, people attacking the North Indians were lesser in number than those, there to save them,'' the actor underlined.

''We would reply the violent incidents in Maharashtra by non-violence,'' Mr Tiwari said, adding that those fearing and returning from Mumbai would go back again and settle there.

The Maharasthra government should deal with the issue seriously, he added.

UP: 4 wounded in bomb attack in Chowk area

Varanasi, July 14: A trader and his three servants were wounded when unidentified criminals hurled a bomb at them in the Chowk area here this evening. Taufiq, a cosmetic product trader, had just pulled downed the shutters of his shop in the Sarai Harha area when three people reached the spot and hurled a crude bomb at the trader.
