7 arrested for possessing arms

Kohima, Feb 18 (UNI) Police today arrested seven people from Kangstung village in Mokochung district of Nagaland and recovered several illegal arms from them.

Police said the arrested, reportedly the supporters of sitting Independent MLA T Tali, were suspected to have created violence in the Tuli Assembly constituency during the March 5 polls.

Recently, three persons were killed and many injured, some of them still in hospitals, in pre-poll violence at Kangtsung village.

Security has been beefed up and Indian Reserve Battalion deployed in the village as a precautionary measure, sources added.

'India sought only 3 suspects, not 20'

Islamabad, Dec 5: Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani's Adviser on Interior Affairs, Rehman Malik, has that India has only sought 3 terrorist suspects and not 20 as has been reported by the media.He also said that the list submitted by the Indian Government does not include the name of Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, the head of the Lashkar-e-Toiba, which is being accused of masterminding last week's Mumbai terror attacks  that claimed nearly 200 lives and caused injuries to nearly.....
