BCCI to ask ICC to ban sledging

New Delhi, Feb 14, 2008 : The Board of Control for Cricket in India or BCCI is all set to ask the International Cricket Council (ICC) for a complete ban on sledging.

Board secretary Niranjan Shah said on February 13th that he would be putting forth the proposal at the ICC Chief Executives Committee meeting in Kuala Lumpur next week. Shah said that since cricket is not a contact sport, there should be no use for any abusive language at all.

I would have called back Team India: Lalu

New Delhi, Jan 12: If Railway Minister Lalu Prasad had his way, he would have called back Team India from Australia that is grappling with the charge of racist slur and some shoddy umpiring.
