Two killed in head-on collision in Pujnab

Moga, Feb 15: Two people were killed and two seriously injured when a truck carrying LPG cylenders collided head-on with another truck near Sangatpura village on Baghapurana-Bhagata Bahlka Road yesterday.

The police said the drivers of both the trucks, identified as Gurdeep Singh of Bhalaiana village in Muktsar district and Gurpal Singh of Poohla village in Bathinda, were killed on the spot while the cleaners of the trucks were critically injured in the accident.

The injured were admitted to the Baghapurana Civil Hospital.

New Delhi, Feb 27: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today said the defeat of the Congress in the assembly polls in Punjab and Uttarakhand would have no bearing on the Centre as it was not a ''referendum'' against the UPA.''I am not saying there is no fallout.
