TTD denies information about SIMI activist's visit to temple

Tirupati, Feb 15: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Vigilance in-charge and Security Officer Hari Kumar denied receiving any information from Hyderabad and Banglore police about the alleged visit of Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) activist to Tirumala temple.

When asked about the Islamic fundamentlist, Razuddin Nasir, who allegedly revealed during the narco test by the Bangalore police on February 13 that he had visited Tirumala temple and ISCON temple at Udupi for a possible attack, Mr Kumar denied having received any information from Bangalore police or elsewhere about him. It may be noted that Razuddin, who was allegedly involved in a recent explosion at Hyderabad, was arrested by the police.

Balaji Temples in New Delhi, Sikkim by TTD

Tirumla, Aug 31: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has decided to construct a Bajali Temple and a 'gyanamandiram' (meditation hall) in New Delhi. Addressing the media here yesterday after a board meeting, TTD Trust Board Chairman B Karunakar Reddy said the decision was taken for the benefit of the people in the North.
