K'taka: Subramanya recordes 8 cm rainfall

Bangalore, Feb 15: Following is the summary of observations recorded at weather office here at 0830 hrs today.

Rainfall occurred at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.

Subramanya recorded heavy rainfall of 8 cm. Sambre, Bhagamandala, Humchadakatte 3 each, Dharmasthala, Sulya, Karkala, Siddapura, Yellapura, Haliyal, Tyagarthi 2 each, Kiravatti, Linganamakki, Talaguppa, Arasalu, Kalasa, NR Pura 1 each.

Minimum temperatures changed little over the State. They were above normal at most places being appreciably so at a few places over Coastal Karnataka, above normal at many places over Interior Karnataka being appreciably so at a few places over South Interior Karnataka. Chamarajnagara recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 18.2 degree celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Sunday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at isolated places over the State.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at isolated places over all the districts of the State except Bidar, Gulbarga, Bijapur, Bagalkote and Belgaum districts where mainly dry weather may prevail.

Local forecast for Bangalore city: Partly cloudy. Possibility of light rain in some areas. Minimum temperature likely to be around 19 degree celsius.
