Student dies under suspicious circumstances

Gorakhpur, Feb 15: A student died under mysterious circumstances in Shahpur area of the district, police said today.

Vikas Singh -- a BS student -- fell unconscious after complaining of stomach ache at his Baulia railway colony residence late last night.

Singh was rushed to the railway hospital in a critical condition, where he succumbed. According to hospital sources, Singh died after consuming posion. Meanwhile, his body had been sent for autopsy and investigations continued.

Faizabad, May 23: Police recovered a huge quantity of explosives from the Faizabad railway station early today, hours after serial blasts roocked Gorakhpur. Ten kg of explosives and 20 litres of ammonium nitrate were recovered by the Railway police from the second class waiting room on platform No 1 at around 0155 hrs, Police Superintendent (City) K K Asthana informed. IAF platinum jubilee air show in Nagpur on Oct 10, 11

Nagpur, Oct 5: The Indian Air Force (IAF) will hold an air show here on October 10 and 11, as part of its platinum jubilee celebrations. Speaking to persons here today, IAF Headquarters Maintenance Command (HQMC) Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C) Air Marshal J S Apte said the air show would include a static display of various aircraft and equipments on the ground, as well as a flypast and an aerobatic display in the air. The flypast will feature IAF's frontline Jaguar, Mirage.....
