Pietersen still believes in his cricketing talent

London, Feb.15 : An unexpected form slump as a batsman; has not stopped Kevin Pietersen from believing in his talent as a cricket player.

Pietersen's response to a string of low scores has been to increase his workload, analyse his failings and to keep believing in his talent, reports The Sun.

He said: "My recipe for success is hard work. There's nothing easy in life, certainly not at this level.

"I want to strive for perfection and be a player who keeps putting in the work and making guys around me work hard. There are no excuses - you need hard work or you won't succeed.

"I want to be one of the best players. I was there last year and I want to get back to that."

KP's wicket remains the one most prized by England's opponents.

New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori revealed: "You look at Kevin as a marquee player. He stands out in everyone's mind and I know our team lifts a bit when he comes to the wicket."
