NCPCR organises Round Table on Juvenile Justice, Child Rights

New Delhi, Feb 15 (UNI) The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights has organized national Round Table Consultations tomorrow on Juvenile Justice and Child Rights to review the implementation and to explore Legislative reforms in the area.

Following visits to a number of states recently, the NCPCR felt that Juvenile Justice system requires intensive review of implementation mechanism and Legislative reform.

The Commission has initiated a national review process identifying priority areas for targeted implementation support as well as recommending effective strategies for undertaking reform and comprehensive JJ Act implementation.

As a part of the consultation process, the commission is holding a series of Round tables with States to ensure comprehensive input and judges of High Courts and child right activists and representatives of various departments to establish national consensus on priority commitments for implementation and reforms for protection of child rights and welfare.

Respect coalition dharma, DMK tells allies

Chennai, Feb 15 (UNI) The Administrative Committee of the ruling DMK today firmly told its allies to respect coalition dharma and adopt a constructive approach to resolve intra-front issues. A resolution to this effect, adopted at the Committee meeting, chaired by DMK President and Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, warned that if the allies failed to respect coalition dharma, it would only pave way for the ''communal forces'' to once again raise its ugly heads in.....

Kapil Sibal wants biotech to trigger another green revoln
