Minister waives off need for NOC for Power load enhancement

Chandigarh, Feb 15 (UNI) Punjab Local Government and Industries Minister Manoranjan Kalia today accepted the long-pending demand of the industry regarding enhancement in Power Load without getting No Objection Certificate from the concerned local authority.

The industrial sector had been facing problem since long in getting enhancement in load because, Punjab State Electricity Board does not provide enhancement in load without getting prior No Objection Certificate from the concerned Municipal Committees or Corporations.

Today, in the meeting of senior officers of the Department of Industries and Commerce, Power, Local Government and Punjab State Electricity Board convened by Minister, this issue was discussed and it was decided that henceforth PSEB shall provide the enhancement in load to the Existing industry without getting No Objection Certificate from the concerned Municipal Committee/Corporation.

Mah Govt signs MoUs with 7 cos for Rs 5,444 cr investment

Mumbai, Feb 15 (UNI) In a bid to give boost to investments in Maharashtra and generate employment opportunities for the people, the state government today signed Memorandum of understanding (MoU) with seven companies at Rs 5,444 crore for various industries. HP Budget Plan fixed at Rs 2,400 cr

Shimla, Feb 15 (UNI) The Himachal Pardesh Government has fixed its Annual Plan for 2008-09 at Rs 2,400 crore which is Rs 300 crore higher in comparison to the last year's Annual Plan. Pipavav shipyard bags country's largest ship building order

Pipavav (Gujarat), Feb 15 : Pipavav, home to India's first largest ship building yard in the private sector in western Gujarat, has bagged country's largest ship building order worth 1.06 billion dollars for construction of 26 Panamax Bulk carriers. Pipavav Shipyard Limited, the major shipbuilding and offshore fabrication company, started construction of India's largest ships with the performance of steel-cutting ceremony for the first four of a series of 26 Panamax bulk carriers on order.
