Micro Tech inks contract with I-systems to capture Lankan mkt

New Delhi, Feb 15: With a view to capture the growing market of security products in Sri Lanka, security provider and software maker Micro Technologies India Ltd today said it has signed an agreement with Colombo-based construction and real estate giant I-system.

Under the agreement, Micro Technologies will market Micro products and its licences to Sri Lanka, a company's statement said. ''Sri Lanka has a very lucrative and rapidly expanding market, which offers excellent opportunities for Micro Technologies security products and their product licences,'' I-Systems Managing Director Kavinda Jayasooriya said.

''Increase of mobile usage amongst the youth has also given rise to an excellent market opportunity for the mobile security product of Micro LMTS. Security Products like Micro HSS and Micro VBB is long time dream being fulfilled,'' he added.

Micro Technologies is a leading provider of security devices, life support systems and web-based software solutions to the global audience.

TELSCC to collect food, medicine for Tamils in SL

Chennai, Dec 12: Tamil Eelam Liberation Supporters Coordination Committee (TELSCC) will launch a fortnight long movement in the state from December 15 to collect food, medicines and other essential commodities to the starving Tamils in Lanka.TELSCC Convenor P Nedumaran, a staunch supporter of Tamil Eelam, yesterday said here that the collected materials would be despatched to the suffering Tamils through the International Red Cross Society.In a statement here, Mr Nedumaran said the TELSCC also condemned the Lankan government.....
