Mehraj Shaikh moves to court against Sanjay Dutt

Mumbai, Feb 15 (UNI) Mehraj Shaikh, former husband of Manyata, today filed an application in the court against Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt and Manyata for allegedly getting married violatiing the Muslim marriage norms.

Shaikh, incidentally, faces charges of sending vulgar SMS and threatening Bollywood personalities for extortion.

He moved an application before the Bandra metropolitan court praying for legal proceedings against Sanjay Dutt and Manyata for ''violating the Muslim marriage norms''.

Metropolitan Magistrate Pankaj Shah had admitted the matter and posted the hearing for tomorrow.

Shaikh stated in his application that he married Manyata on April 5, 2003. He has a two-and-half-year-old son from Manyata who is presently staying with the latter's mother at Hyderabad.

He claimed in his application that he and Manyata had started living separately but till today, neither of them had sought ''talak''.

DMRC officials inspect alignments
