Agartala, Feb 15 (UNI) CPI(M) Polit Bureau member Brinda Karat today claimed that the Ruling Left Front would create a history by forming the sixth Front Government in the state.
Addressing a rally in Sabroom for the February 23 Assembly election, she said, '' Electing Left candidates for the sixth time will be a history in the country because the state presents a model of integrity. '' Slamming the Congress, she said the power-starved party had forged an alliance with the Indigenous Nationalist Party of Tripura (INPT), known as the 'mask of militants'.
She termed the recent violence in Maharashtra as 'shame' and said the Congress was keeping a studied silence only to save the chair.
Meanwhile, the CPI(M) protested against the hike in fuel prices.
CPI(M) West Bengal Committee secretary Biman Bose lambasted the Congress-led UPA Government at the Centre.

'' He said the increased price of fuel would cause a severe burden on the common people, adding it would result in the hike of the prices of essentials.
