Its helicopter not 'ghori' for BSP leader's son's 'baraat'

Jaunpur, Feb 15 (UNI) Close on the heels of a groom hiring a helicopter to fly off to his bride in Ghaziabad, a ruling Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader has hired a helicopter for his son's high profile matrimony in Uttar Pradesh.

Ajay Kumar, son of BSP leader Rai Ratan Bahadur Singh, flew over to Mirzapur from Badlapur tehsil area here today.

It is first time in the district that any groom took out his 'baraat' via helicopter.

Special permission was taken from the district administration for setting up a helipad for landing the helicopter, which was hired at a cost of Rs 10 lakh.

Besides, as many as 250 other vehicles were hired for the marriage.

The groom would return home along with his bride tomorrow.

BJP supports creation of Telangana state

New Delhi, Feb 15 (UNI) Strongly attacking the statement of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajashekhara Reddy's statement that the creation of Telangana would escalate the extremist problems the BJP said he was only giving an excuse for not implementing his own party's promises. Everybody in Nepal wants elections on time: Cong

New Delhi, Feb 15 (UNI) A high-powered AICC delegation, which has returned from a three-day tour of Nepal, is of the opinion that every political party, including the Maoist, wants the Constituent Assembly elections on time on April 10. ''Everybody in Nepal wants elections on time, which had been postponed twice earlier,'' said Congress spokesman Shakeel Ahmed, who was part of the delegation headed by AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh which returned from Nepal.....
