Emirates flights in Calicut-Dubai sector from July 1

Kozhikode, Feb 15 (UNI) Emirates Airways (EA) will introduce its service in the Calicut-Dubai sector from July 1.

The flights would be operated on six days a week, EA Sales Manager (North and Central) Mohammedali N Cheria informed a delegation of the Malabar Chamber of Commerce (MCC) and Calicut Aiport Committee, a MCC releasde here said today.

The flight 777 would arrive at Calicut at 0905 hrs on Thursdays and Saturdays and leave for Dubai at 1030 hrs. On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesday and Fridays, it would land at 1950 and take off at 2120 hrs, it said.

Air Arabia had already announced plan to launch a service in the Calicut-Sharjah sector from February 22.

More foreign airlines, including Ithihad and Saudia, were scheduled to launch operatons from the airport soon following granting of travel permit by the Civil Aviation Ministry, it said.

Pranab Mukherjee to visit Brazil, South Africa

Days get warmer in Delhi, nights remain cold

New Delhi, Feb 15 (UNI) Friday was a very warm day in Delhi with mercury rising above normal by two degrees to stand at 25.9 degrees Celsius. However, nights continue to be cold with minimum temerature recorded at 5.7 degrees Celsius, about four degrees below normal. The weatherman said the maximum temperature in the national capital would hover around the normal of 24 degrees Celsius, and also predicted relief for the people from the chill.....
