Bangarappa welcomes Centre's decision on delimiation

Dharwad, Feb 15 (UNI) Karnataka Samajawadi Party President S Bangarappa today welcomed the Center's decision to hold elections after completing the delimitation of Assembly and Parliamentary segments in the state.

Talking to newspersons here, he said he was of the view that the elections to both the Lok Sabha and the state assemblies be held simultaneously in October this year.

Replying to a question, he reiterated that his party would contest all 28 Lok Sabha and 224 Assembly seats in Karnataka, independently.

CM urges C-Ward residents to exercise caution

Mumbai, Feb 15 (UNI) Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh has urged residents of C-Ward here to exercise caution before consenting to proposals by private organisations for redeveloping the area. One more succumbs to injuries in bus accident

Mumbai, Feb 15 (UNI) Two people, including a woman, were killed and two others injured when a BEST bus hit them near the Star Plus office at Marol Naka in western parts of the city today. The identities of the deceased, a 32-year-old woman who died on the spot and a 50-year-old man who succumbed to his injuries in the hospital, were yet to be ascertained.
