Alliance with Trinamool only after it came out of NDA: Cong

New Delhi, Feb 15 (UNI) The Congress today said it would have an alliance with Mamata Bannerjee's Trinamool Congress in West Bengal only after it came out of the NDA.

''We will have no truck with any party having alliance with communal forces,'' Congress spokesman Shakeel Ahmed told reporters.

''Only when it is clear that Mamata Bannerjee is not part of the NDA, we will have alliance with the Trinamool Congress,'' he said, The spokesman said the partnership with Trinamool Congress would be decided on the basis of the report of the West Bengal Congress Committee.

''A young and energetic Dasmunsi has been appointed West Bengal PCC chief...,'' he remarked.

The Congress had two days ago made Union Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President of West Bengal to strengthen the Party in the State ahead of the Lok Sabha elections scheduled next year.

Mr Dasmunsi's appointment was seen as a move to push forward the process of striking an alliance with Ms Bannerjee, who reportedly enjoyed a good rapport with him.
