Address farmers' problems or face Sena's ire, Khaire tells govt

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Feb 15 (UNI) Ministers in the Democratic Front (DF) government in Maharashtra will not be allowed to move freely in the state after Shiv Sena's Beed rally on February 23, Sena MP Chandrakant Khaire has said today.

Addressing a press conference here, Mr Khaire said the DF government has completely failed to meet the farmers' demand to waive their debts. Shiv Sena will put pressure on the state government to do so by restricting the DF Ministers' free movement in the state, he said.

The Beed rally, to be addressed by Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray, will chalk out an action plan on loan waiver, writing off electricity dues and free power tariff to be implemented when ''the Sena comes to power'', Mr Khaire said.

''We will insist that the state government should waive all the farmers' debts in the state, and if the government is unable to do so, we will come out with our plan to implement the same when we come in power,'' he said.

The Beed rally is part of the Party's ongoing series of rallies being organised to ask the government, ''Will you waive the farmers debts, or stay out of power''.

Senior leaders Manohar Joshi, Ramdas Kadam, Leeladhar Dake, Sanjay Raut will be present at the Beed meet, he added.

Mr Khaire criticised the ruling Democratic Front (DF) Government for the maximum number of farmers' suicides in the state since it came to power.
