Madurai, Feb 12: The Business Process Outsourcing arm of Sundaram Finance (SF) on Monday inaugurated its facility in the city, the first one outside Chennai.
The company was foraying into the city to increase its turnover from Rs.17 crore to Rs.30 crore within a few years, its Managing Director T T Srinivasaraghavan said. The BPO facility would initially focus on insurance sector and employ 100 people. The strength of the staff would grow from 400-500 before March 2009.
The company's 75 per cent business came from domestic companies and so it was not worried about the fall in the dollar rate, he said. The company, with seven centres in Chennai, was expanding outside the city to Madurai for the first time.
