Prof Reddy takes over as acting NAAC director

Bangalore, Feb 7: Senior education consultant S Ravichandra Reddy today assumed charge as Acting Director of city-based National Assessment and Accrediation Council (NAAC).

Prof Reddy replaces Prof V S Prasad whose five-year tenure ended yesterday. NAAC is an autonomous institution of the University Grants Commission.

Mr Reddy brings with him more than three decades of academic experience. Earlier, Prof Reddy had served as Registrar, Dean Faculty of Science, Chairman of Zoology department and as Syndicate member of Bangalore University, a NAAC release said here.

Tribal students threaten to boycott Manipur University

Imphal, Feb 29: The tribal students of Manipur University(MU) have threatened of mass boycott tomorrow if University authorities failed to provide adequate reservation for tribals in the staff and the students. The tribal students, under the aegis of the Manipur University Tribal Students' Union(MUTSU) are planning mass boycott.
