Microsoft ERP tops customer satisfaction survey in India

Ahmedabad, Feb 7 (UNI) A nation-wide survey of companies using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions, conducted by research firm IDC in conjunction with Data Quest, has revealed that Microsoft's customers are the most satisfied.

The annual study involved 326 large enterprises and evaluated customer satisfaction with a product or service offering.

It placed Microsoft Dynamics in the top slot against the index of customer satisfaction, moving up from third place last year. The parameters where Microsoft scored include overall product performance, convenience in installation and adoption, scalability and vendor's problem solving expertise.

The survey results are a shot in the arm for Microsoft, which launched its enterprise applications only two years ago.

Expressing delight at being voted leaders in customer satisfaction, Microsoft India Business Solutions Director Sushant Dwivedy said, ''Our best of breed solutions, delivered through our highly skilled partner network, which offers the last mile of vertical functionality, have helped us meet our customer requirements of product reliability, ease of use and efficiency.'' ''The rise of Microsoft Dynamics has been contributed primarily by vendor understanding, domain knowledge of business and clarity of pricing contract,'' the report said.

Among all the other segments which have been surveyed including IT services and servers, the growth in the overall satisfaction level in the enterprise applications segment has seen the highest growth.
