According to a Lok Sabha Secretariat release issued here today, the programme-- commencing this month--has been launched on the initiative of Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee.

In the very first year, the Bureau of Parliamentary Studies and Training of the Lok Sabha Secretariat has selected five students for the course.

The programme would enable the interns to understand and appreciate the works in Parliament and Parliamentary democracy and to expose them to various aspects of practices and procedures of Parliament.
