Kanchendzonga cycling expedition to begin on March 2

Chandigarh, Feb 7 (UNI) The first-ever Kanchendzonga Mountain Biking which will be an annual affair will start on March 2.

The 10-day event will carry a prize money of 25000 dollars besides other prizes to be won by the cyclists.

Kachendzonga and Sikkim are all about natural beauty and thrilling adventure. The event highlights cyclists' relationship with their bikes and nature seriously in the Eastern Himalayan range.

Pedaling through the eastern Himalayas, Indian Grand Prix Meet in Patiala will unveil it's first ever edition, and salutes the indomitable human spirit. It's a toast to adventure lovers from around the world, as they come together for this grand cycling and hiking spectacle to the majestic ranges of the Himalayas.

Ten days of splendid adventure racing through a staggering 350 kms gaining an elevation of over 21,000 metres will be a test of strength and determination, the trans-Himalayan challenge.

Three killed, 11 injured in bomb explosion in Pakistan's southwest

Peshawar, Feb 7 : At least three people were killed and eleven others were injured when a bomb exploded near a bus stand in Dera Murad Jamali, a town about 300 kilometres southeast of Quetta. According to police the bomb exploded prematurely. The police told a foreign news agency that the bomb exploded when the bomber was trying to place the explosives in a sewerage drain. Kidney racket kingpin Amit Kumar arrested

New Delhi, Feb 7: Kidney racket kingpin has been arrested in Nepal says the Himalayan Times. Nepal Home Minister confirms the arrest of Dr Amit Kumar. He was nabbed in jungle resort close to Raxaul (Bihar) near Indo-Nepal border. Dr Amit Kumar has been arrested from Hill View Resort near the Nepali capital of Kathmandu by the police, a top daily, The Himalayan Times has reported.
