Mumbai, Feb 7 (UNI) The Indian Premier League (IPL) today announced the appointment of Sundar Raman as the Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect.
Sundar joins the IPL after having spent over a decade with the WPP group in India. In his last assignment as the Managing Director of MindShare, Sundar was responsible for growing MindShare's business in India, while providing strategic direction and operational focus. Besides working at consolidating MindShare's market presence along with the operating company GroupM, Sundar has also focused on building the MindShare brand, driving partnerships and strategic alliances and developing the capabilities of the organisation in the country, a release said.
Sundar joins the IPL post some truly rich experience in the media and entertainment business and has led the strategic media thinking for some of the biggest and best brands in South Asia including Unilever, PepsiCo, Motorola, Samsung, Amex amongst a host of others.
Over the years, Sundar has been able to chart an excellent track record of managing people, businesses and client relationships. He has a sound understanding of the changing customers, brand and media landscape and their growing interdependence and a wealth of experience in delivering solutions.
Sundar is a post graduate in Advertising and Communications Management and a graduate in Applied Sciences, the release added.
