"Intervene to hold polls in free atmosphere in Nagaland" BJP

New Delhi, Feb 7 (UNI) Alleging that the law and order situation in Nagaland was nowhere satisfactory under the President's Rule, the BJP today sought the Election Commission to intervene so that the ongoing assembly polls were held in free atmosphere.

BJP spokesman Rajiv Pratap Rudy, who is also the incharge of elections for the party in Northeast told newspersons that the kidnapping of businessmen for ransom and merciless killings continued unabated making the situations worse.

The imposition of President's Rule dismissing the N Rio led Nagaland People's Front government had brought in no cheers for the commonman.
