London, Feb 6 : Vladimir Putin is famous as the Russian President, a judo master, an expert skier and a fighter plane pilot. But now, the Kremlin leader is set to get a romantic renovation, thanks to a new Russian film.

The movie, A Kiss - Not For the Press, marks a rare fictional portrayal of the ultra-secretive Putin.

The film never mentions the Russian leader by his name. But the plot about a man from Saint Petersburg who, like Putin speaks German, has a secretive job, marries a stewardess, has two daughters and becomes president, makes it clear that the film is based on his life.

The film shows key scenes from Putin's life, including his first meeting with Lyudmila, their 1983 marriage and subsequent move to Dresden, Germany where Putin worked as a KGB spy.

Andrei Panin and Darya Mikhailova star in the movie, reports the Telegraph.

The official release is set for Valentine's Day, two weeks before Russians vote for a successor to Putin, who is stepping down after eight years in office.
