Tamil Arabia to telecast programmes in Dubai soon

Tiruchirapalli, Feb 6 (UNI) Tamil Arabia, a Tamil Television Channel, is planning to launch its Tamil entertainment programmes in Dubai for the first time shortly, Channel's Technical Dirctor R Udhyakumar said today.

Talking to newspersons here, he said initially the telecast would be for two hours daily and subsequently it would be converted into a round the clock channel.

The chennel would telecast its programmes jointly with the Dubai based Ajman Independent Studios L L C, he said.

The main objective of the launch was to highlight the talents of Tamilians in different parts of the world, especially the Tamils living in the UAE, he added.

Signals could be received from 26 countries, including Nigeria, Egypt, Libya, Mauritania, Somalia, Tunis, Sudan, Morocco,Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Emirates and Yemen, he said.
