Silver declines, gold rises on bullish advice

Mumbai, Feb 6: Spot silver eased by Rs 50 per kg while gold rose by Rs 45 per ten gm in the opening session of trading at the Bombay Bullion market today.

Although a mixed trend was observed in the domestic markets, in the international market, however, both precious metals inched up. Spot gold rose to USD 888.00/889.00 an ounce from USD 886.85/887.55 while silver edged up to USD 16.36/16.41 an ounce from USD 16.32/16.37 in New York.

Following were the opening rates of spot silver and gold in the Bombay Bullion market today: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 20,965 Gold (per 10 gm) Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 11,450 Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 11,505.

Precious metals recover on better buying support
