ONGC to invest Rs 600 cr for wind energy projects

New Delhi, Feb 6, 2008 : After successfully starting its pilot wind energy project in Gujarat, India"s Oil and Natural Gas Corporation or ONGC is now planning to invite bids for its second pilot project in Karnataka.

ONGC will invest nearly Rs 600 crore in the first phase of its wind energy foray for generating nearly 15000 mw of power. The Company will set up 34 turbine machines, each having a capacity to produce 1.5 mw, at both the wind farms in Gujarat and Karnataka.

India to leave Indo-Myanmar gas pipeline project

Agartala, May 14: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has decided to leave Indo-Myanmar gas pipeline project following Chinese influence on military administration in Myanmar.
