Major global Oil Cos show keen interest in NELP VII: Deora

New Delhi, Feb 6 (UNI) Major global oil firms like Exon, Chevron and British Petroleum have shown keen interest in the New Exploration Licensing Policy (NELP VII), said Petroleum Minister Murli Deora today.

''The shows in London, Houston and Calgary has been a great success and in all the locations the registrations have been two and half to three times more then what was anticipated,'' Mr Deora said.

Mr Deora was in London to promote NELP VII, showcasing 57 exploration blocks on offer, to prospective exploration and production (E&P) companies and investors.

The last date for submission of bids for 57 blocks offered under NELP VII is April 11.

Blocks offered under this round include 19 deep water blocks, nine in shallow water and 29 in on land.
