Lindsay can't help wondering over her bizarre year

Washington, Feb 6 : Lindsay Lohan might have put her 'eventful' past behind, but when recounting the year's moments, three words come out of her- "what was I thinking?"

In a recent interview, the 'Mean Girls' star said that the events of last year shocked her.

"When I look back on this last year, it's like, what was I thinking?" Us magazine quoted her, as telling Harper's Bazaar.

Lohan, who relapsed in January, was ordered to work at a morgue as part of her punishment for misdemeanour drunken driving.

The actress also said that estrangement from her father likely played a role in her raucous behavior.

"Not seeing my father was really hard for me, and not being with my family enough," she said.

"I wasn't taking any time to just sit and live and breathe. I was going, going, going, and that ran me down. It was a stressor. It upset me. I didn't have a father to call, and that was a lot of the pain," she added.

Lohan was estranged from her father, Michael, for three years until an emotional reunion in September when she was in rehab.

"I've learned so much, though, like learning to love my life a different way. And I wasn't taking the time to feel my feelings. Being away and going to a place where I could learn about that and take the time with a clear mind to get back on the right track was nice," she added.
