LDF to go ahead with 'Kudumbasree' projects: Minister

Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 6 (UNI) Stating that the Left Democratic Front (LDF) Government has no fears about the Congress-sponsored 'Janasreee' project, Kerala Local Self Government Minister Paloli Mohammed Kuttty today said it would go ahead with the 'Kudumbasree' projects.

Talking to reporters here, he said unnecessary competition would not be a good tendency in this sector, and added that 'Kudumbasree' should not be used as a weapon for political interests.

If there had been any lapses in the project, it should be pointed out and the Government was committed to correct it, he said.

Another scheme's need should be raised only if the present one was a failure, he added.

He claimed that 'Kudumbasreee' units were repaying its loans without any faults, and alleged that the Congress-sponsored Janasreee project was a parallel scheme to scuttle Kudumbasree projects.
