Kidnapped engineer released by PULF

Imphal, Feb 6 (UNI) An abducted electricity department assistant engineer(AE), Naorem Keshwar Singh of Kakching Senapati Wairi Leikai, was released by suspected cadres of People's United Liberation Front (PULF) last night at Thoubal district.

The engineer was reportedly abducted by PULF cadres on January 31.

A Manipur bandh was called yesterday to protest the kidnapping by the Joint Action Committee. The electricity employees had also threatened to stop supply of power in the state if the engineer was not released.
