JPMO to support Feb 19 Punjab bandh

Jalandhar, Feb 6 (UNI) Joint Platform of Mass Organisation (JPMO) has resolved to support Punjab bandh, to be held on February 19 on the call of Anti-privatisation Co-ordination Committee, Punjab.

In a press released issed here today, JPMO convenor Mangal Ram Pasla said JPMO after a meeting held, has also decided to support February 7 strike of electricity employees against unbundling of Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB).

Mr Pasla stated that State and Central governments are privatising electricity, health, education, roads and drinking water facilities under the policies of imperialists. Which, he said would adversely affect the commonman.

He also appealed to shopkeepers to participate in the February 19th Punjab bandh and raise voice agaisnt the opening up of Retail Trade to national and international monopolists, which would play havoc to their businesses.

Bhutto assassination: Scotland Yard alleges non-coop

In the letter dated January 10, the world's premier investigating agency requested the President to direct local administration to provide it information about the evidence collected from the crime scene soon after the incident, The News reported quoting reliable sources. ''The Scotland Yard has not yet been able to collect.....
