Indu Projects bags Rs 505-cr Bhusawal Power Plant works contract

New Delhi, Feb 6 (UNI) Hyderabad-based reality major Indu Projects Ltd has bagged contract worth Rs 505 crore for civil and structural works of Maharashtra's power generation company Mahagenco's 2 X 500 MW Bhusawal Thermal Power Station plant project in Bhusawal (District Jalgaon), Maharashtra.

The scope of the work includes the construction of civil foundations and superstructures in the main power plant, treatment plants, ancillary buildings and fuel oil handling system, the company said in a statement.

It is also responsible for providing structural steel work in the civil construction work.

The value of the contract for these services is Rs 505 crores and the project is to be completed in a period of 34 months, it added.

''We want to venture into high growth niche areas, large scale core infra and value added projects. After successfully completing projects in residential, commercial and retail, we intend to expand our portfolio of core infrastructure construction projects to include civil construction works in sectors such as railways, oil and gas, airports, sewerage works and drinking water supply schemes'', said Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, I Syam Prasad Reddy.

Bhutto assassination: Scotland Yard alleges non-coop
