GJMM supporters obstruct Ghisingh at Bagdogra

Siliguri, Feb 06 (UNI) About 50 Gorkha Jana Mukti Morcha (GJMM) supporters were today arrested at Bagdogra airport when they tried to obstruct GNLF leader Subhas Ghisingh from leaving for New Delhi.

The protest was a part of the demand for a Gorkhaland led by GJMM leader Bimal Gurung.

The Gorkha National Liberation Front chief is leaving for New Delhi to discuss the issue of Sixth Schedule with the concerned officials at the Centre.

Hong Kong, Feb 22: Morgan Stanley has agreed with JM Financial to end their Indian partnership as the US firm expands in one of Asia's fastest-growing markets for investment banks.Under the agreement, announced on Thursday, the US investment bank would acquire the joint venture's institutional equities sales, trading and research platform for 5 million.JM Financial would acquire the investment banking, fixed income and retail operations for million, resulting in a net consideration of 5 million to be paid by Morgan Stanley.''Morgan.....

Orissa: JITM students develop solar lantern

Bhubaneswar, Feb 20: A low cost solar powered battery charged LED Lanterns have been developed by the students of Jagannath Institute of Technology and Management (JITM), Orissa, in collaboration with the Engineers Without Borders(EWB) member students from University of Illinois. This has been specially developed for the benefit of the off-grid villages.
