Doctor abducted, Rs 20 lakh ransom demanded

Gurgaon, Feb 6: A doctor was kidnapped from sector 9 by some unidentified miscreants here late last night.

Sunil Ahuja, a resident of sector 4, was abducted from his clinic.

The family of the abducted doctor received a call at 0500 hrs today demanding a ransom of Rs 20 lakh, while his car was recovered from a sector 9 petrol pump.

Police have registered a case on the victim's father Rajender Ahuja's complaint.

An investigation is on.

Moscow, Feb 27: Russia's Organised Crime Bureau said they foiled a terrorist attack here when they arrested Farid Magomedov with an explosive device at a bus stop in the north-west of the city on last Thursday.Investigators told Russian news agencies yesterday that Magomedov from Daghestan, a Russian republic in the North Caucasus near Chechnya, was responsible for the production of explosives used in terrorist attacks in the republic.
