New Delhi, Feb 6 : Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen today said Denmark looked for further enhancement of business ties with India.

Rasmussen, who is on a five-day visit to India, said he hoped his visit would contribute towards strengthening relations between the two countries.

"I hope that my visit to India will strengthen the already strong ties between two countries. We are going to establish a joint Indian-Danish commission, which will create a framework for further development of our partnership," he said after the ceremonial reception at the Rashtrapati Bhavan here today.

He added that he was looking for further cooperation with Indian the fields of environment, energy and food technology.

Rasmussen also said that he would focus on climate change as Denmark is to host a conference on climate in 2009 during which an effort will be made to reach an agreement on comprehensive Global Climate Deal.

"I hope that India would play a constructive and active role in reaching that agreement," he added.

Rasmussen along with his wife Anne Mette Rasmussen were received at the forecourt of the Rashtrapati Bhavan by Dr. Manmohan Singh and his wife Gursharan Kaur.

Rasmussen, is accompanied by a business delegation representing Information and Communication Technology and Life Sciences.

The two countries are expected to sign agreements in renewable energy,nvironment, and trade during the visit.

Rasmussen will also attend the Sustainable Development Summit on Climate Change to be held in New Delhi on Thursday.

Rasmussen will also visit Agra before his departure on Friday.
